On one of the days off this month, we needed to replace and or rebuild the small tractor bridge that goes across the creek in our backyard.

It was built originally in 2003 for a wheelbarrel, then expanded to fit the first riding mower tractor in 2004, expanded again for the tractor and its trailer.
Last fall the first beams had rotted through and it became unsafe to use.
It is only 4′ across but it was time to dig it out and replace it with a single built unit that was large enough for future changes (ie a new tractor).

The old was was 2×4’s and the new one was two 4×4 posts underneath and 3.5″x5″ garden ties as the main supports. They were spaced close enough together to act as a deck as well.
