Its getting colder.. Our first heavy frost of -5 deg C was a couple of days ago. The house is starting to cool down.
Looking back.. when did we have our first wood fire?

Not too bad for this year so far. We have extra wood this year in any event but every day that goes by without starting the cycle, the drier the stored wood becomes, the better it burns, and the more prepared we are for a longer colder winter.
hmmm.. the cats are demanding heat. when they try to light matches on their own, you know the time has come. The woodstove was lit today.
