Lasts nights allsky2 summary
The new code written to process the nights images from the allsky2 camera system has worked and the result of last night appears here:
This is a compilation of 27 images from last night.
The bright object in the centre left is the moon. The object in the centre of the image is Jupiter.
Farther up you get Betelgeuse and Rigel.
Down near the bottom centre is the star Capella and up at the top the star Sirius.
Funny how there doesn’t seem to be a lot of meteors in the image. The system triggers and saves based on a motion detection system. Most of the time these are false positives from passing traffic (ie car headlights).
You can see each individual frame here.
The double parallel lines in the upper right are car headlights from the newspaper delivery guy around 04:30 local time.
