A nice aurora on the morning of 2013 October 2nd … around 01:17 or so. To bad there was a lot of cloud in the way.
This is looking to the nor-northwest and is a 15 second exposure with our canon powershot A2400IS on a tripod. Of late the camera has developed a lot of dust inside the lens elements, with the end result being at certain zoom settings, the dust becomes in focus and is quite distracting.
Attempts to open up the lens assembly in such a way as to be able to put it back together have failed.
It may be time for yet another camera 🙁
