Sunday 2014 April 07 was another clear night, so out I went to do another imaging run of Jupiter, hopefully the last on the 20cm with the Olivon camera.

Jupiter 20cm f10 2x6cm apertures

Jupiter 20cm f10 2x6cm apertures

Jupiter 20cm f25

Jupiter 20cm f25

Focusing was much more difficult using the 2.5x barlow and it was still twilight between 20:00 and 20:30.
In addition the telescope tracking was still bad and only a very few frames were taken at f25, as Jupiter tracked off the field of view within 10 seconds.
This was the 4th night in the last 2 weeks of gathering benchmark images of Jupiter with various apertures, focal lengths and tracking test using the Olivon camera. Now we will try to repeat that with the newer Orion Starshoot camera.
