{"id":10286,"date":"2023-04-03T10:34:08","date_gmt":"2023-04-03T14:34:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/?p=10286"},"modified":"2023-04-03T10:35:52","modified_gmt":"2023-04-03T14:35:52","slug":"radiojove-back-in-operation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/2023\/04\/radiojove-back-in-operation\/","title":{"rendered":"Radiojove back in operation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our <a href=\"\/radiojove\">Radiojove telescope system<\/a> went offline on 2023 March 21st.<br \/>\nWe found the issue&#8230; a chewed through in two places audio cable running from the RJ receiver to the USB sound dongle inside the observatory.<br \/>\nWe attempted to splice the cable but that attempt failed.<br \/>\nWe ordered a replacement and install it on 2023 April 1st.. so about a 12 day outage.<br \/>\nAs we went live, we appeared to be in the midst of an event&#8230; normally we  do not receive the WWV 20.0MHz time signal from boulder colorado.  We are in a skip zone.
