\nThe 2025 Garlic Harvest has been complete. Records were kept but not yet transcribed as to the total amount.
\nThey are now hanging up to dry in a cool, dark, well ventilated space… the garage.
\nNew this year is an overhead fan running 24\/7… It seemed to be doing a much better job and drying out the garlic faster than in the past.
\nOne week has gone by and there is next to no green left in the leaves.
\nAlso new this year was a stinging bees nest underground.. in the garlic patch!
\nWe had to dress up to harvest those bulbs!

\nNot quite beekeepers outfits but close enough!<\/p>\n

Anecdotally (and before we further process the garlic, measure and weigh it), the bulbs in the raised beds did not seem to do as well as in the main garden beds. Both had drip irrigation running every day for the last two months and both have similar soils (we finally had them all tested… pH was a little off but otherwise the soil is great!)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
