Tried using polaris and moving the scope in N\/S Dec moved the star, moving it in E\/W RA did not. <\/p>\n<p>Used Vega.  everything nicely lined up.. told the mount to go to Saturn.  It almost got there.  I could not understand what was up&#8230; looked at the mount.. cable snag!<\/p>\n<p>Try to improve something and universal entropy bites you in the *ss.<\/p>\n<p>In any event, 17 imaging runs of Saturn of 180 seconds each, with exposures at 11 or 12 ms.<\/p>\n<p>Altitude is getting really nice&#8230; 48 degrees! only 1.33 airmasses to look through and atmospheric distortion is starting to minimize.  This was the best 5% of 15K frames using an ROI of 800&#215;800 and a further cutout box of 600&#215;500.  Seeing was average 5\/10 and transparency was average 5\/10.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve started adding that info into the filename as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Up and out before 04:00 edt this morning.
