While waiting for the Space Shuttle and ISS to pass over, we saw this awesome display of the crescent moon and Jupiter low in the western skies:

The Space Shuttle Discovery undocked from the International Space Station earlier Monday morning. This is the last flight of Discovery and we were treated to a near overhead pass of it leading the International Space Station, just a little after sunset Monday night.<\/p>\n

\nFirst up is an image from our allsky camera<\/a><\/p>\n

\nOrion and Sirius can be seen in the bottom section of the image. The overexposed right side is the west facing twilight.<\/p>\n

Then comes the rest of the images, all taken with a canon powershot A540 on a tripod using standard long exposures of 1-15 seconds.
