{"id":2766,"date":"2012-04-16T08:11:33","date_gmt":"2012-04-16T12:11:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/?p=2766"},"modified":"2012-04-16T11:48:51","modified_gmt":"2012-04-16T15:48:51","slug":"napanee-community-food-bank-garden-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/2012\/04\/napanee-community-food-bank-garden-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Napanee Community Food Bank Garden Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/20110810-01.jpg\" width=300 align=right\"><br \/>\nAs of Friday April 13th, 2012 we have this report from Susan:<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;cut here &#8212;<br \/>\nThe Napanee community food bank garden has been plowed up.<br \/>\nPlanting began   at 4pm of Friday .<\/p>\n<p>So far, we have<br \/>\n3 rows of onions (dutch sets)<br \/>\n3 rows of peas ( 2 bolero, 1 dakota)<br \/>\n2 rows beets (early wonder) and<br \/>\n2 rows carrots (nantes).<\/p>\n<p>The place is so dry, just like a dust bowl.<br \/>\n&#8211;cut here &#8212;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/2012\/04\/napanee-community-food-bank-garden-2012\/\">*<strong>Volunteers are Needed!<\/strong>*<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We hope to drop by this week and take some fresh images  of the garden.<br \/>\nOver the last two years we have been taking weekly images from the four corners of the garden to try and give a time lapse visual over the summer, but they did not work out as well as expected.
