{"id":2905,"date":"2012-05-06T07:51:51","date_gmt":"2012-05-06T11:51:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/?p=2905"},"modified":"2012-05-06T07:51:51","modified_gmt":"2012-05-06T11:51:51","slug":"internet-problems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/2012\/05\/internet-problems\/","title":{"rendered":"Internet problems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the last 5 days now, our automated routines for copying data from home up to this starlightcascade web server have failed.<br \/>\nWe are using linux fedora 15 and a client program called lftp to push files up on regular schedules to a server running linux fedora 16 and a server side program called vsftpd.<br \/>\nThe system has been running flawlessly for some years and now we are plagued by partial connections, timeouts and no files transferred.<br \/>\nInstead of very fast uploads  completed we are sitting at<br \/>\n`index2.htm&#8217; at 0 (0%) [Sending data]<br \/>\nfor minutes on end.<br \/>\nComputers at both ends have been restarted.  The house router and switches have been restarted.<br \/>\nWe&#8217;ve tried other ftp clients like Filezilla from other systems within the house.  Same problems.<br \/>\nWe&#8217;ve tried FTPing to other servers in the same area as this one.  Same problems.<br \/>\nWhat&#8217;s left?
