It gets the worst of the nor&#8217;easter storms and blizzards.  Unfortunately the sheer force of the driving wind tends to drive snow as well&#8230; right inside the observatory.  That side is totally unsheltered, whereas the north has trees, the west has the house and the south has a few buildings that help protect, redirect and lessen the effects.<br \/>\nThis is what got inside this time<a href=\"http:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/20130210b-11.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/20130210b-11.jpg\" alt=\"20130210b-11\" width=\"200\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4029\" \/><\/a>.<br \/>\nThis happens a few times a year and we have not yet solved the issue.
