It was cold, dark, cloudy, rainy and  windy.  We did get 8 guests though, showing them through the facility.<br \/>\nThe cloud date for the solar session was Sunday and it was actually clear.<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/3416937134_1c66d6eb50_b.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/3416937134_1c66d6eb50_b.jpg\" alt=\"3416937134_1c66d6eb50_b\" title=\"3416937134_1c66d6eb50_b\" width=\"200\"  class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-415\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWe set up and went through a crowd of 63 people in the three hours of relatively cool and windy weather.<br \/>\nThere was one Coronado Solarmax 70 scope from the Royal Military College and we took the opportunity to take some images through it of a solar filament (see todays <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spaceweather.com\/\">spaceweather.com<\/A> page for a much better image of it than what we took with our little canon camera.<br \/>\nThere are more images over at the <a href=\"http:\/\/kingstoniya.ca\/\">kingstoniya.ca<\/A> website under past events and photo gallery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday April 4th was supposed to be a three hour public solar observing session down at City Hall in Kingston&#8230; we got clouded out.
