Come to think of it, we had an early worm appear last year as well.<br \/>\nFrom the evidence (hexagonal poop) it had been hanging out in a tree overhanging the pool for a couple of days before it fell in.<br \/>\nThe tomato plants are late this year, with some maybe 1 foot high, and a very few maybe 2&#8242; high.  Normally we do not look for the worms for another 2-3 weeks, but with this warning, we are now out every day looking for them along with the twice daily potato bug hunt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This tomato hornworm made an appearance in our swimming pool yesterday.
