{"id":63,"date":"2008-10-25T12:48:47","date_gmt":"2008-10-25T16:48:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/?p=63"},"modified":"2008-10-25T12:51:28","modified_gmt":"2008-10-25T16:51:28","slug":"arrival-in-puerto-vallarta-mexico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/2008\/10\/arrival-in-puerto-vallarta-mexico\/","title":{"rendered":"Arrival in Puerto Vallarta Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This was the scene that greeted us on our arrival late Friday afternoon in Puerto <a href=\"http:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/20081010-0951.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-65\" title=\"20081010-0951\" src=\"http:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/20081010-0951.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>Vallarta Mexico.\u00a0 rain. lots of rain.\u00a0 We knew about Hurricane Norbert a few hundred km off to the west and also about Tropical Storm Odile heading our way from a few hundred km to the south.\u00a0 But when we walked out of that plane we were hit by a wall of heat and humidity.<\/p>\n<p>Leaving toronto a few hours earlier, it was maybe 14 degrees C and our typical 40% humidity.\u00a0 Puerto Vallarta was about 35 deg and 100% humidity.\u00a0 It was unreal.\u00a0 Worse than walking into the tropical jungle section of the Royal Botanical Gardens in Montreal.<\/p>\n<p>The airport was interesting.\u00a0 We were hearded outside and waited to get inside buses that transported us across the tarmac.\u00a0 Jumping large puddles we entered the terminal and started to walk through long wet, humid hallways back to the area that we arrived at, albeit one floor down.\u00a0 Paperwork paperwork paperwork and presto!
