We went out this morning and took a few images along the way.  After about 30 minutes outside before dawn, we saw two and only two Leonid meteors but no images of them.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a 64 second f2.6 exposure of Leo, Mars and M44 the Beehive Cluster. <a href=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/img_0911.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/img_0911.jpg\" alt=\"Leo, Mars, M44\" title=\"img_0911\" width=\"200\"  class=\"size-full wp-image-704\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And here is another of Orion and Sirius<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/img_0913.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/img_0913.jpg\" alt=\"Sirius &amp; Orion\" title=\"img_0913\" width=\"200\"  class=\"size-full wp-image-705\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe main peak(s) are expected to occur in the hours around 22h00  UT on November 17= 17h00 US Eastern, although variable activity may happen at almost any stage between November 16 and 18.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The leonid meteor shower peak is approaching quickly.
