Popped outside quickly around 21:00 EDT, pointing was bad, tracking was bad.  1st attempt at 30 seconds could not keep it in the FOV.<\/p>\n<p>2nd attempt worked a little better.  seeing was poor, transparency was average with an exposure of 40ms.<\/p>\n<p>Serendipity did strike as, unbeknownst to me, Io had just finished transitting and Io shadow was still there as well.<\/p>\n<p>These settings are those used by Christopher Go and are a little more robust then I would choose, yet his settings show off the detail better than mine did. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First time in a month and 10 days to attempt to image Jupiter.
