\nThis is the First Light image from the new wider angle lens for the allsky1pi<\/A> camera system.
\nThe old lens came along with the ASI ZWO120MC camera and was a 2.1mm focal length.
\nThis new lens is a 1.55mm focal length and as seen in this image, does come to focus (our biggest concern) and also shows more of the sky. Focus is not perfect at the moment, but the fact that it can come close means it can get even better!
\nThe camera is still mounted biased towards the north, as one of its primary goals is to image aurora, often low in altitude to our north. North is up, East is left, West is right. Not all of the southern horizon is showing, possibly because of the tilt bias but also because of the small chip size.<\/p>\n

From here we will let it run overnight and see if the night sky is in sharp focus or not, and also decide on whether to change the angle bias at all.
