{"id":9680,"date":"2021-11-20T17:16:38","date_gmt":"2021-11-20T21:16:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/?p=9680"},"modified":"2021-11-20T17:16:54","modified_gmt":"2021-11-20T21:16:54","slug":"9680","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starlightcascade.ca\/blog\/2021\/11\/9680\/","title":{"rendered":"Jupiter 2021Nov19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After doing the barlow test, I moved ahead to try Jupiter out again&#8230;<br \/>\nwith the max x3 barlow (which turned out to have dust spots, so it too<br \/>\nis now inside for cleaning).<\/p>\n<p>So this is quite impressive in target size&#8230; 1800mm focal length x3 =<br \/>\n5400mm.  Somewhere around 600 pixels in diameter (after a x1.5 drizzle<br \/>\npixel increase by interpolation with autostakkert!3)<\/p>\n<p>Focusing is still difficult and could be better.<\/p>\n<p>this is a 180 second imaging run at 30ms  frames (about 33fps) with the<br \/>\nnew firecapture beta 2.7.0.7 software, no debayer in firecapture,<br \/>\nautostakkert!3 that does the debayering for colour, the best 25% of 6k<br \/>\nframes and wavelet processed in registax.<\/p>\n<p>North is up and the colour balance is still out.. not sure if it is<br \/>\nsomething related to my thoughts the camera is broken in some way or<br \/>\nnot.
