Churchill Park Sundial

The sundial is located on the southeast and southwest sides of a tall center marker in the centre of the park. It marks Kingston's 300th year and the 500th anniversary of the birth of Copernicus. Located in Kingston bounded by Brock, Napier and Mack Streets. Unfortunately, today in the winter, the trees have grown so tall that the sundial does not receive direct light. It still works in the summer however! The text of the plaque reads:

southwest face, 12 inch ruler Presented to
the City of Kingston
to mark its tercentenial year and
the 500th anniversary of the birth of
Copernicus
by
the victoria and Grey Trust Company
June 1973
