Death wish

This little creature of the red squirrel variety must live with a death wish.
On a daily basis he/she/it comes down out of the tree or up from the ground and onto the deck.
The deck. Home to three carnivorous beasts, also known as our house cats.

Apparently the deck surface is a shortcut between where the squirrel is and where the chipmunk whats to be.

A year does not go by when we do not discover one of his kind or another inside the house. After being brought inside, apparently he is now sport.

*Correction … was chipmunk but now that it has been pointed out my memory is bad… this is a red squirrel.. there was a family of at least 5 in this tree… then last week they all disappeared! Then the chipmunks moved in!
