We have joined our first CSA … Community Shared Agriculture. (as opposed to the Canadian Space Agency).
For those not aware of this, it is a system where consumers (us) buy shares in a farms production (them) with agreed upon quantities and delivery dates over the course of a growing season.

In our case this is a vegetable grower CSA based out of Roblin Ontario who is growing vegetables organically (no pesticides or herbicides, but without the honerous government paperwork to be certified). We look forward to many types of heritage/heirloom tomatoes and beans and peas that we ourselves do not grow in our very limited gardening space.
