Canada Day in Bath Ontario 2012

So we were walking down Main Street in Bath Ontario, around 10:30 am on Sunday July 1st, 2012.
And in a quick second we were in the middle of a 19th centiry firefight!
It was the was of 1812 re-enactment of the american invasion of Bath and this was the British regular and local miltia counter-attack to drive the Americans off the land and back onto their waiting ships.
a short time later there was a naval battle with cannons booming and the subsequent chase of the HMS Royal George east towards Kingston for the protection of Fort Henry.
