blizzard aftereffects
This is the northeast wall of the roll off roof observatory. It gets the worst of the nor’easter storms and blizzards. Unfortunately the sheer force of the driving wind tends to drive snow as well… right inside the observatory. That side is totally unsheltered, whereas the north has trees, the west has the house and the south has a few buildings that help protect, redirect and lessen the effects.
This is what got inside this time.
This happens a few times a year and we have not yet solved the issue. We’ve added a few extra inches of skirting to the outside and will see if that helps slow down/stop/redirect the flow of snow inside.
