The potato patch in Veg4 was dug up this past weekend. It took us about 2 hours to dig up 6 hills each of 10? types. Will have to check the records on that. The plants had mostly totally died down and we could not identify the end of a row very well. During the growing season, we managed to hill dirt once or twice, and as a result, there were a few hills with potatos sticking out of the ground.
They are now sitting in the garage drying out in labelled bins for a few days. After that we will clean, weigh and store them in the cold room.
The Yukon Gold were particularly good this year. At least one type did very poorly (maybe one potato per plant and small at that).. so the list of types planted next May will be a little smaller.
