It was a rare event on Sunday 2018 March 18th, a conjunction of the Moon, Venus and Mercury in the western horizon after sunset.

Taken with our old Canon DSLR on a tripod, first two south of Newburg Ontario and last two northwest of Yarker Ontario.

The dark side of the moon was lit up by Earthshine and was very impressive. The moon was 1 day 10 hours old, or 34 hours as calculated by http://cycletourist.com/moon/
