A pre 04:00edt imaging session of Saturn this morning. The best image turned out to be the last before it got too bright at 08:49 UTC (04:49EDT). This is the best 5% of 9K frames captured. The almost full moon had just set maybe 30 minutes earlier and the skies were bright from dawn.
Altitude was up to 35 degrees.. getting better each session.
Each run was 180seconds with exposures around 20ms each. There was enough high cloud drifting through the image that the firecapture autohistogram feature did keep changing the gain to keep the exposure at 20ms and not dim.
The shadow of Saturn (on the lower right) projected onto the rings is becoming quite distinct.
The Cassini division is quite evident as well. Titan is well away from the planet at this time and not in the frame.
