A game changer in wavelet processing has happened. I’ve been meaning to dive into wavesharp for some months now, trying to replace registax as my wavelet processing step.
I downloaded, installed and was absolutely stuck in the user interface.
then two youtube videos later I batch processed 24 best 5% stacked of Saturn from 20260805 (the registax version posted earlier today).
In the past the best I could do was to bring out the moon Titan.
In this run, with this software, I brought out the other moons:
rhea mag 9.71
tethys mag 10.21
dione mag 10.41
enceladus 11.73
WooHoo!
Did I say WooHoo!
The actual sharpness and noise of Saturn is a little worse than Registrax, but that is just a matter of tweaking the 40 odd plus settings that were used to do this. They will get better!
New – waveSharp 3 introduction features and workflow – Jupiter
waveSharp 3 batch processing and animation – Saturn and moons
The ease of batch processing 20+ runs each session is the biggest time saver.. I did registrax manually and that took a lot of time in repitition. Yes, technically registax can batch process, but I found it was not good at all in replicating the quality wavelet processing of one by one.
