Up and out early last Wednesday morning (2025 July 02) around 04:00 edt (008:00 utc) to catch the shadow of the Saturnian moon Titan transitting across the surface of Saturn.
This is the 2nd last imaging run of 31 runs, taken at 05:14 edt.. well into dawn (had to stop!).
The white balance goes to poo this much into daylight, but the event still goes on!
Altitude was still low at 41 degrees, no Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector was used (yet!), seeing was poor, transparency was poor. Firecapture with an ROI of 600×600 and cutoutbox of 400×400 was used to capture approx 6k frames for each run. The rings are still at a very narrow angle and not very visible at all. If you crank up the gamma you can make them out.
