We still have two systems that run on linux Fedora 17 and as you may have read earlier, Fedora 19 came out a few weeks back.
We ran into some issues with the F17 to F18 upgrade back in January so I thought it might be an idea to test a F17 to F19 directly skipping F18.

So we start with a bare metal 80GB IDE drive in an old AMD athlon @1.8GHz with 1Gb and install a fresh copy of Linux Fedora 17. That took about 30 minutes. Reboot and run all updates for F17.. That was about 537 packages @462MB and about 40 minutes to download and then about an hour to install.
Total time to date 2 hours and counting.
