Crescent Moon and Venus

Sunday 2013 September 8th, showed a beautiful 3 1/2 day old crescent moon conjunction with the planet Venus. This first image is a wide angle view to establish the scale, from the parking lot of the Kingston Shopping Centre.

The camera is a Canon Powershot A2400IS and all of the images are handheld.
The 2nd image is at full optical zoom (x5) with the Moon, Venus and a parking lot light.

The last image is at full digital zoom (x20), which in reality is just full optical (x5) and digitally cropping out the outside pixels.
Not too shabby, considering it should have been a tripod mounted shot.
