Ice Storm 2013 ran from December 19th through the 22nd.
We personally suffered a single 5 second power outage on the afternoon for Saturday the 21st.

No tree damage so far, what with the several major branches that came down in the spring when we had a short bout of ice rain. This Juniper tree illustrates the worst of it, maybe 1cm of ice coating every surface and the shear weight of it all pulling it down.

In our local area there were thousands of power customers without service, in the City of Toronto, hundreds of thousands. We came off lucky this time around. Lots of firewood, lots of food and pretty constant -5C temperatures.

The freezing rain ended Sunday morning/noon but the aftermath remains.
