why are the bird feeders on the ground in the morning?

Mr. Raccoon is the answer to the question.
There were actually two feeders up, one on either side.
It looks like he has gotten so good/fast the first one gets knocked down before the camera flash can charge and get an image of the action.
I am more amazed that he seems to be walking down the post upside down in the last image.
These images were taken with a “trail camera”, basically a waterproof outdoor motion sensing low resolution camera that eats x4 Size C batteries on a regular basis.
